About Me
ABOUT ME
I am friendly, honest and helpful, said to be a very tolerant person open to everybody and different mindsets. I like to observe, rather than being the centre of attention - however, I am always interested in meeting different people and getting an insight in their cultures. I enjoy playing board games, going out for a coffee or the movies, taking photos, reading good books, I love to cook and eat...!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I became a CS member in Singapore, where I wasn`t able to host. Nevertheless I have enjoyed different outings and gatherings with many different, wonderful people that I hope to meet again - somehow, somewhere, sometime!
If it is possible in the future I would like to host, as well, and definitely try out surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I´ve neither surfed nor hosted, but the experiences that I have made taking part in activities were overall positive.
I didn´t know that there were so many gatherings and outings to take part in, when I signed up for CS. The same day I joined my first CS event and many more followed!
Interests
Besides traveling, I enjoy movies and books, cooking and baking. I don´t really like clubbing, but I`m always up for outdoor activities, such as nature walks or paddling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy french comedies, such as Amélie or Ch´tis, as well as dark british humour, crime thrillers especially from Scandinavia (Mankell), Bridget Jones or Harold & Maude - depends on my mood, but I love to watch movies!
My favorite book is Muriel Barbery, Die Eleganz des Igels/L'Élégance du hérisson/The Elegance of Hedgehog.
I usually read novels, often crime thrillers, sometimes fantasy, classics or biographies.
Music... Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, Me and my drummer, Annenmaykantereit, Rio Reiser, Wise Guys
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my nicest travel memory is the huge sand dune in South Africa, where we did a two-days-walk. The sea on one side, the "desert" on the other and no people around!
