ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Chicago. Came to Germany for the first time when I was 23. I became a homeopath and psychotherapist in Germany and also managed Healing Practitioner Schools and taught natural medicine. After over 20 years of healing work I took a longer break to follow my spiritual path and moved to northern Italy.
Since my work with the healing tool of Ilahinoor took me to different parts of the world, It was clear that it is time to depart on a long journey to share this amazing tool of transformation. I gave up my home in the mountains of Italy where I was supporting a Buddhist retreat center to travel the world with this work. Basically, I had no agenda but just followed the heart. I ended up in India where I studied and intensified my yoga, meditation praxis and discovered Advaita Vedanta. That was and continues to be an enormous blessing. Personal data: 65 years old, female, grandmother, lover of life, Jnana Yogini, work at an Ayurveda Detox Center as Integral Vedic Counselor. I am interested in living more sustainably with nature.

PHILOSOPHY

My biggest and utmost desire ist to be an instrument of peace and love and to deepen my understanding of our own divine true Self: unlimited love, compassion, and wisdom.
As Rumi expressed: Let your heart's light guide you to my house. Let your heart's light show you that we are one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Now, after 5 years of traveling (see below) I am happy to be a host. I live in a small wine village on the Mosel river in Germany, where I work at an ayurveda center.

My apartment is small, next to a stream and about a 20 minute walk to the river. It is not very big, and quite simple. I have two fold-up kapok mattresses for guests in the living room. There is a very interesting Buddha museum in my town, really worth seeing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I traveled for over 5 years and couchsurfed in India, Egypt, South America, USA, Spain, Japan. I have also hosted a handful of guests since returning to Germany.
I love meeting people from different cultures and feel comfortable really everywhere. My true home is the one heart that we all share, and that is not limited by space or time. I love this earth which hosts us and after all the travel I am enjoying settling down for a while in Germany. As a student of the Vedic wisdom of India I will always find my way back to my spiritual home there. Right now my biggest hobby in a yogic project: a teaching garden. I spent over 11 years of my life searching for true freedom and found my spiritual home in India in Advaita Vedanta, one of the major Yoga paths. I give lectures about this at my workplace and am happy to share any insights for those who have an interest. I also am re-learning to play the piano!
