About Me

I love to surf, play music, cook, explore new places, hike, camp, hang out, and meet new people. I’m currently spending quite a bit of travelling going on surf trips. I recently lived in Kauai for the surf and small island vibes. Just got back to Ontario, Canada where surprisingly there is surf - although it’s not the same as salt water surfing. Looking to travel as much as possible for the next couple years and am always down for an adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting new people. When I travel I try to immerse myself in the culture and local customs. I’m not big into touristy sights and experiences, although I’m open to suggestions and trying most things. I’m fascinated by other cultures and find myself constantly seeking new experiences. A lot can be gained by living with people from other cultures and with different life experiences, and I few CS is so incredible for connecting people from all walks of life. Hoping to gain insight and new perspectives from other people, as well as share my own stories and experiences. I especially love to play music as a way to connect with people, so if you're travelling with an instrument that's a huge bonus - always down to jam.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - basically anything although I gravitate towards classic rock
Some favourites include: Led Zepplin, ZZ Top, Queen, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Cash, Houndmouth

Books- Tao of Pooh, Secret Life of Trees, anything sci-fi

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived a pretty bad scooter accident, pretty stoked about that. I went on a short surf trip and ended up staying for about 6 months with my surf instructor. I had to leave and come back home to Canada when I got in the accident and broke my wrist in several places. The experience taught me how incredible the human body is at healing after a trauma and how resilient we really can be despite the odds. All in all, it made me super grateful to be alive and well, and taught me to make the most out of life while I can.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing music with other people. I think it’s such an incredible way to connect and learn about others. I also really enjoy surfing with people because it’s quite peaceful and I think most surfers share a commonality which unites them. Storytelling is also important to me and I love exchanging stories and experiences with others - it’s such a cool way to learn and bond.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A warm and bubbly personality. I am very respectful, clean, and considerate of others. I like to think I bring positive energy and laughter where I go. I also love to cook and really enjoy cooking for others.
