ABOUT ME
Living abroad, travelling and getting to know new people and places has become a huge part of who i am over the past several years. I've got a ton of energy and am open to all sorts of new ideas and adventures- a nice combination when living abroad and travelling whenever I can! I love the outdoors, whether it be hiking into deep Canadian woods back home, or surfing along the pacific coast. I have a love for languages too, having learnt French and Spanish over the course of my travels and time abroad. For me travel has become one of the best ways to understand myself, others, and the world we live in. Who I am has become a reflection of the places ive been and the amazing people i've met.
I've spent time living in France, Australia, Latin America, India and now Mongolia. I always seem to come away from these experiences with a more humble and positive perspective on people and our planet. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've became a member of couchsurfing to meet as many locals and internationals as possible throughout my time abroad. Whether it be hosting, crashing at another CSers place, or meeting a fellow couchsurfer for a coffee in their city or mine, I am eager to explore this community of travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first signed up for before beginning my travels in Latin America in July 2010. This network has been an integril part of my amazing experiences abroad. Through it I met so many more locals then if I didn't use CS. I was able to get a better feel for the areas I visited and save money. But best of all, I've met life long friends that I am forever grateful for. :)
Interests
Being outdoors exploring the surrounding areas in which I am traveling. Exploring the city, relaxing along the coast, surfing and snorkeling, hiking , camping etc. I'm very social and look forward to meeting many locals and travelers in each of the places I visit. At this point I am most interested in exploring Ulaanbatar and Mongolia in general. Personal interests include music, biking, veg cooking and yoga/acro yoga :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my first experiences scubadiving was when i took my open water diving course in Bocas del Torro, Panama in Jan 2010. One one of my first open water dives I saw my first SHARK! Such an amazing feeling of excited, awe, and just the tiniest bit of fear! Have yet to see one since while diving, but am always keeping a look out!
I was definitely awestruck when checking out the Ellora and Ajanta caves in Maharashtra, India this September 2012. They are buddhist caves that date back to almost 2,000 years ago! Huge, beautiful caves filled with temples and amazing designs. I will never forget the grander and overwhelming beautiful of those caves!
