ABOUT ME

After finishing university, I saved some money, quit my job and left California for Berlin to enjoy Germany during the 2006 World Cup. I've never really gone home... I lived in Switzerland for a year traveling and working from time to time, skiing, hiking and enjoying the mountains. Traveled around Africa and Asia, settling in China for 2 years.

now it's time to learn to sail!

What else? I love hitch hiking! I've met some of the most unforgetable people on the road. Plus it's a great way to explore a country.

I talk a lot, I laugh a lot, I like to smile..

I can be an adrenaline junky. Spending time outdoors, playing sports, games etc. Relaxing on the beach is good and all for a day, but after that there needs to be some action.

Each CS experience has been very positive! I can`t say enough wonderful things about my hosts, guests and the other friends I have met through CS.

Interests

Travel, intelligent debate about almost any subject. I love soccer (football). Art, live music, literature. I enjoy the outdoors- hiking, skiing, swimming. Going on silly adventures with friends... and strangers. I love good food and wine... learning new things, hitchhiking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rafting down the Colorado River. World cup 1998, 2006, 2010!! Driving along the western coast of Ireland and spending the night along the side of the road... the wind rattling our tiny car like a tin can.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn new things. If you get me riled up we can talk, teach, learn, or share in some sort of debate :) Games! Have any new games to teach? I can teach you to play Gin (the real kind-not Rummy), Poker, and even Monopoly if you`d like, but I am not an expert.. it`s just something I like to do. Languages.. not my strong suit, but it would be nice to improve my French. I am always happy to help you with English too. I love to cook and will be happy to prepare a dinner or share a home cooked meal with you :)
