CURRENT MISSION

Overall: Enjoy my life with my dog, Mark.

Specifically: We'll be starting the AT shortly. Due to needing to be back home for a state park job, we have a time limit and will be starting Northbound SUPER early (We have winter gear, don't worry!). Looking for a place to spend the night after turning in a rental car and hopefully a ride to the approach trailhead in Amicalola.

ABOUT ME

I suppose I am a quiet person at first, but loosen up considerably once I become comfortable with the people I'm with. I play rugby and love hiking. I have been called weird and a nerd, which makes sense since I have a Lord of the Rings tattoo.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to surf couches. It is a less expensive way to travel with the added bonus of getting a local's perspective. It is also easier to bring my dog, Mark. When I have a couch to offer, I will offer it, but that may be a long time from now.

I stood within 20 feet of a bull moose in Alaska, and have a photo of him.

I sat on one of the pyramids at Giza.

I've been to a handful of the Lord of the Rings filming locations, and Ian McKellen has signed my Lord of the Rings tattoo.
