Overview
About Me
Chocolate addicted swiss girl trying to see as much of the worlds beauty as possible. I study public heath and infectious diseases at University of Glasgow where I'm currently doing my PhD.
I'm a open minded and uncomplicated person. I'm happy to speak and discuss with you everything from politics to how to spell "chuchichästli" in swiss german or the story on why I started to collect owls.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At the moment I‘m home in Glasgow. So, if you are planning to come to visit here I‘ll be very happy to show you around. I still consider myself as new in Scotland too, so tgere is a lot of places to go and explore. I would be very happy to share that experience with you.
However, I‘m not living alone and I‘m not able to accomodate you, I‘m very sorry.
Travelling broadens one's mind and I'm convinced that this leads to a more tolerant and therefore more peaceful world. Getting to know people from other countries, cultures and backgrounds is the most interesting thing and a great posibility to share and learn from each other.
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many kinds of music, but my heart beats for everything latin, dancehall, reggaeton and salsa. I'm a passionate dancer and love to go out on parties to dance until sunrise :)
Films are cool but Game of Thrones is the greatest thing that ever happened on TV.
At the moment reading Mario Vargas Llosa‘s book "La casa verde" to practice my spanish.
Otherwise more into fantasy and science fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking the 5day Salkantay-Trail to Machu Picchu.
Chilled afternoons on the "Weidling" (a wooden boat) on the Rhein in my hometown Schaffhausen.
Working with an NGO in the peruvian rainforest to fight against anaemia and malnurishment.
Snorkling at the cost of the Galapagos Island Isabella and seeing Manta Rays, Seeturtels and Sharks.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the basics of some dances (disco fox, walz, salsa and some more). And be sure: everyone can dance if you only try ;)
I love good food and am happy to learn new recipes. When at home in Switzerland we can totally make Fondue or Raclette! Hhhm melted cheese <3
But anyway, I am interested in whatever you have to show or tell me!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My worldviews, my company and most importantly my swiss chocolate.
If home I can give you advice on how to use swiss public transport, I can show you around some cities (Schaffhausen is lovely btw) or we go for dinner/coffee/drinks together.
