About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I‘m visiting South Korea from 28th of September until 10th of October. My journey starts in Seoul and I’m looking for someone to hang out with on 28th/29th of September in Seoul. I do have a place to stay. On the 3rd of October I plan to head direction Daejeon and the following weekend to Busan.
My greatest joy is meeting people, making friends and learning about the Korean culture and way of life. I love visiting temples, parks and spots with great views and sit around cafes having nice conversations. I’m not a big night life person although I heard that Korea has heaps to offer in that field. I‘m visiting friends I made during my last trip and I hope to explore new areas outside the cities also.
ABOUT ME
I am originally from Germany, grew up in France and live now in Australia after working all over the world,
I’m kind and reliable and curious about other cultures. I adore meeting people and exchanging stories.
I learned beautiful songs from countries I lived in, like India, Russia, France and Italy. I play the guitar and the Mongolian horse head fiddle. Occasionally I give concerts and also teach languages and self discovery programs based on knowledge of the Vedic tradition.
PHILOSOPHY
'The quality of our life is determined by the state of our mind' (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We had a wonderful experience meeting a host family in Osaka, Japan and in UlanUde, Siberia. I also made amazing people in Mongolia. I find it fascinating to meet local people and make friends.
Unfortunately I cannot host surfers at the moment as I live in a very small studio. But I’m happy to meet, introduce you to friends and show you around when you visit Australia.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couchsurfing experience is excellent. The time we spent with our hosts in Osaka are the most memorable ones from our entire Japan trip.
The family I stayed with in UlanUde have become close friends and we met again on a separate trip and keep in close contact.
My Mongolian hosts have meanwhile moved to Sydney and we meet regularly.
Last years couch surfing friends in South Korea have a special place in my heart and we‘ll meet again in a few weeks….. can’t wait.
