Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in a few places in France and had dinner with local couchsurfers. Overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of these people and hope that I can repay that all back at some point

Interests

Cooking!! Socialising and travelling but always willing to try new things and meet new people. Swimming. Languages. Cultural differences. Positive life quotes. Never regretting. Reading. Walking the dog on a crisp morning in the countryside. Lazy Sundays with the newspaper. Food. Market day shopping. The sun. Snow.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading especially from the 1900s onwards such as post-colonial novels eg. Wide Sargasso Sea but also just enjoying a detetcive/thriller book aswell.
Love live music particularly at festivals as you can listen to your favourite bands but listen to some new stuff aswell!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered within a number of Cameroon primary and secondary schools, through a charity in England we rasied the money and then visited the country to see what the money had achieved. I found it one of the hardest but most rewarding few weeks of my life, the warmth, acceptance and generosity of the people was life altering. Arriving at one of the schools to hear the crys of excitement of the children before seeing some of the native singing and dancing was amazing and cannot be fully explained through words.
