Overview
About Me
I'm currently a university student in Louisiana, United States. I'm studying political science and music. I love to read, workout, watch movies, hang out with friends; and take bike tours, go to museums, orchestral concerts, botanical gardens, parks, art galleries, and other cultural places (while I'm traveling, that is!). I don't like to club or drink a lot, but I don't mind hanging with a few friends for a couple of drinks, whether at home or at dinner. I may not be a party girl, but I do love having fun in the city! This has been my first oversees trip from North America (I left in January), and I'm still so excited to be living in Ireland!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Right now I am studying abroad in Ireland, and starting June 6, my lease on campus is up, and I will be traveling. I'm kind of running out of money, and even hostels are a little expensive for me. Just looking for a kind person who will let me spend some time with them for a few nights and to show me around town!
Interests
Reading, running, watching movies/YouTube, music, Scotland and all things Scottish, the environment (and how climate change is affecting it), spending time alone and spending time with friends, animals (cats are my favorite, but I also love dogs and farm animals!), eating healthy, going to classical music concerts, and exploring everything!

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie/Rock/Alternative (Frightened Rabbit, Young the Giant, Sea Wolf, Iron and Wine, Beach House, Chvrches, Tegan and Sara, Vampire Weekend, Franz Ferdinand, Kongos, Of Monsters and Men, The National, Fall Out Boy, etc.), some pop (P!nk, Marina and the Diamonds, Sia, etc.), old music, like American 80s pop and 70s rock and roll, and classical music (Beethoven is my favorite, but I also like a bit of Mozart, Brahms, Mahler, and Copland).
I can't tell you my favorite book (because that's impossible!), but I love the Harry Potter books, the Outland (Cross Stitch) series, and other good fantasy novels, non-fiction, historical fiction, and dystopian novels.
I really can't tell you my favorite movies either, but I love action movies, sentimental/drama/serious movies, based-on-true-stories movies, and good romance and comedy (not stupid romance and not stupid comedy, haha!). I don't watch much TV but I do like Law and Order SVU.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think coming over to Europe is one of the most amazing things I've done. I'm an only child, and this is my first long-term time away from my parents. I'm amazed that I managed to get into the study abroad program and fly by myself to Ireland--I honestly did not see myself in my first year of university as going to Europe! I can't wait to do more amazing things, including traveling solo more often in Europe!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share knowledge about my home and the adventures I went on so far in Ireland and in other countries. I can also simply share who I am, and my desire to explore the world (even if it scares me to think about what else is out there!).
