I am new to Couchsurfing, but am running across Europe this June - August from Normandy, France to southern Germany and using it as a way to meet people along the way. I am a competitive runner and coach who loves to travel and drinks very strong coffee! Also, I should mention that my first love is the mountains!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing to find places to stay and meet people on my 2 month long journey across Europe. I am attempting to become the first person to run from Normandy, France to Berchtesgaden, Germany (through Belgium and Luxembourg) to help tell the stories of those who lived through World War II as a way to commemorate and establish a peaceful connection between all nations involved. Along the way, I hope to meet as many people as possible!

Interests

I love hiking, traveling (obviously), running (all the time) and just simply enjoying the outdoors. More than anything, I enjoy spending time in the mountains. I also love meeting new people and hearing their stories!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music, including movie scores! My favorite movie is the Lord of the Rings, hands down, and same for the books. Though I mostly enjoy reading non-fiction and history based works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran every day since January 1, 2013 to raise money for cancer research in honor of a friend's mom who was battling the disease.
