About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ooh, ooh, livin on a prayer

ABOUT ME

I'm just a shy San Francisco girl, livin her life. I love to write, love to travel, love making lists. Sometimes I spend too much time on the internet. I get sucked into things sometimes--a good book, trashy tv shows, a dog hanging out on the sidewalk, a good cup of coffee. Sometimes I take the bus just to get lost for a bit. I'm really good at wasting time, overanalyzing everything, being optimistic, making chocolate chip cookies, using emojis out of context.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still trying to figure this whole "life" thing out. I live as kindly and compassionately as I possibly can, helping others when I can, and allowing others to help me when I need it. Other than that, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm super new at this, but I can't wait to see where it takes me!

Interests

I spend a lot of time thinking about regional dialects, cats, ice cream.

I like cats, the Internet, good music, good food, good coffee, good cocktails, trashy tv, tacos, storytelling, wifi.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm on that art house/foreign/independent movie grind. The only two movies that have ever made me cry are Brokeback Mountain and Good Will Hunting.

I like a wide breadth of music; my summer playlist includes The Drums, Tracy Chapman, Lianne La Havas, The Staple Singers, Kanye, Fruit Bats, and lots of other stuff.

I have an affinity for American lit, mostly from the early 20th century (I'm a writer, so I'm allowed to sound pretentious when it comes to books, right?) Fitzgerald is my favorite author, but right now I'm reading Murakami (and really enjoying it)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a cat eating a piece of pizza just like a human. That was pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I make really good chocolate chip cookies and, in my personal opinion, making food with someone is the best way to get to know them.
