About Me

I'm a washed up flower girl with tastefully terrible humor. I have no clue what I want to do but I'm better in person, I promise. I'm pretty easy going and get along with most people. Humans fascinate me, I love learning about what people do and how they've lived. There's always something everyone does a little differently. I eat pizza toppings first and then the crust. Always have, always will.

Everyday is a new learning experience for me and I try to make the most of the time I have now.

PHILOSOPHY

Be Present.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simple enough, I want to see everything and everyone this world has to offer. Live in the moment and share experiences with others. One day (hopefully soon) I'll be in a better position to host guests from all over. But for now, I love taking the opportunity to learn the most about a place I visit by talking and meeting with locals in the area. I've found it's pretty boring otherwise.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music of choice would be any alternative or classic rock. Growing up my dad and brothers would play any rock and roll station on the radio. Pink Floyd was the soundtrack of my childhood and continues to be the soundtrack of my adulthood. Sometimes I feel like I should have been born in the 50's so I could have really enjoyed the music from the 60's and 70's. But if I had to choose, Jose Gonzales, Arcade Fire, Of Monsters and Men, Vampire Weekend, and Tash Sultana are a few artists that make it a lot easier to be stuck in the here and now.

I love reading. I like the escape fiction gives me. I'm always looking for suggestions, anything apocalyptic/dystopian. But time to time I love reading up on history, geography, astrology, astronomy, biographies, cultural studies and art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got on stage and sang (or shouted terribly depending on how sober you were) with my former German professor at some karaoke bar in Berlin.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty decent at giving some painting tips. And I'm all for a spontaneous conversation, I feel we can teach, learn and share the most this way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm honest and simple. I've been raised to try to leave a space cleaner than how I found it, and I'm always down to help chip in and cook a meal.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany
