I've couchsurfed my way through Europe twice, and they were some of the best experiences of my life! My husband and I also have a spare bedroom to share at our house in Portland. We love to meet new people and make new friends.

I like indie and classic rock. I've got a vinyl collection mostly picked up at thrift stores and yard sales.

One of my favorite things about Portland is all of the independent theaters here. My all-time favorite movies are Harold & Maude, Her, and The Royal Tenenbaums.

I love to read fiction. Some of my favorite books are Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, and Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel.

The most surreal places I've ever been are the Initiation Well at Quinta da Regaleira in Portugal, and Biblioteca Vasconcelos in Mexico City.

I love to cook, and can share lots of tasty vegan recipes. I can also tap dance ;)

My husband Matthew is a gardener and carpenter who's always happy to teach people.
