About Me
Sorry, not currently accepting guests as we are in Japan. Once we get back to NZ and move into our own place we will open up our home to couch surfers.
We are a young, fun, adventurous couple currently in Japan for the first time. We will be spebding 6-7 weeks exploring the beautiful cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nagano, Hiroshima and Wakayama.
We are deeply fascinated with Japanese culture and would love the opportunity to meet locals and learn more about traditional values, local food and daily life in the world of native families.
I am 27 years old, born and raised in Newcastle, England and Pavel is 33, born in Russia and raised in New Zealand. We are both fluent in English and Pavel is also fluent in Russian too. We are both qualified English Language Teachers and are more than happy to help you and your family with any verbal and written English skills.
We promise to respect your home as if it were our own and will treat you and your family with the respect you deserve for allowing us into your home to share your personal space. We are both very clean and tidy, we do not smoke but we are both partial to the odd Asahi now and again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are couch surfing to meet new people and experience local cultures. We would like the opportunity to stay with local people who can guide us in the right direction and share their knowledge of Japan with us.
This is our first time CS and we are not using this wonderful service for a free ride. We are balancing our time between Air B&B, hotels, backpackers and of course, the wonderful CS hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books
We both have very different tastes in music, movies and books. Whilst I prefer to listen to current 'top of the charts music' and read fictional psychological thriller books, Pavel is more inclined to listen to Punk Rock and Chill-step and his choice of books can range from Biographies to Social Issues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of greatest achievements to date has been climbing Mount Tongariro together in New Zealand in 2017.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach English!
We would like to learn as much as we possibly can about Japan.
We can share our experience of travelling.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share our knowledge of the English Language and also share our travel experiences with you and your family. We can provide you with both Russian and English recipes to enjoy western meals together. Of course, we would love for you to come stay with us if you ever wish to visit New Zealand.
