Overview
About Me
I am a recent graduate from UNC-CH with a degree in Biology and Exercise Sport Science! I am currently living in Chapel Hill and applying to graduate/medical schools. I am extremely passionate about healthy living, nutrition, and food.
Although I love science, I am not necessarily your typical nerd. I love love love talking and getting to know different kind of people!
I often travel with my boyfriend, Brandon, who is also a recent graduate from UNC-CH. We have been dating over a year and a half! His degree is in Sports Administration... if you like sports, he'll talk stats with you all day!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Though I just graduated college, I'm still a broke college kid with a HUGE itch to travel! From a young age, my parents put a huge emphasis on seeing the world and understanding different cultures. Instead of getting "material things" for holidays and birthdays, we would often travel as a family and grow together. I think this mentality from a young age really helped mold me into an understanding and eager to learn world citizen.
Interests
I LOVE FOOD!!!! and of course to work it off, I love to hiking, exercise and being in the sun :)
I am also gluten free... so if there are any local breweries near you that have cider, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! Cheers!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge fan of live music.. though my favorites are hip hop, rap, and pop, I can definitely get down with some great jazz, country, alternative or rock!
I love comedies and sappy romances, but also dabble a lot in documentaries. I enjoy watching anything nature or food/health related!
I don't think I've read anything outside of a science text book since college :x
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stood on The Great Pyramid of Giza
Teach, Learn, Share
The Golden Rule.. but beyond that as well. Though you should always treat people the way you want to be treated, I think as humans we can go beyond this... You must first ATTEMPT to step in someone else's shoes to understand their perspective in order to treat them how you think they want to be treated... In the end I think I'm trying to say, empathy is beautiful and necessary..
What I Can Share with Hosts
I laugh at almost any joke! I would also love to repay you by bringing you your favorite coffee in the morning or leaving you a six-pack of your favorite beer as a token of my thanks!
