I have lived in Connecticut for 27 years, saying that alone makes me sick to my stomach! Not that its a bad place or I am unhappy, its just to long to be in one spot when the world has so much to offer and see. I have traveled cross country and abroad but am looking to spend more time out of the country. I played soccer at a Division 11 college and then soon after picked up a coaching job at the university. It is my love and passion but also my comfort zone...it is now time to leave my comfort zone and see the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because my girlfriend and I are planning a year long trip to Europe. I am and leaving everything behind (Grad school, my career, family and friends) so I can learn more about the world and indulge in all of the different cultures. We plan to leave next fall and we plan to start in Portugal. We would like to spend 2 months backpacking in Portugal and then moving on to Spain. I personally would love the opportunity to coach in Spain or even to observe sessions to further my professional development. I took my soccer team abroad to Spain last Spring and it was unforgettable. I feel in love and promised myself I would go back for along duration of time. We are looking for anyone generous enough to help us out during our travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a cross country road trip for 5 weeks and only spent 4 nights in a hotel (the rest we slept in the car) Loved every second!
