About Me
Hiya! I just got back from a year abroad and had the best time away from the US. I'm traveling through Europe this summer and am looking forward to more wonderful experiences with other CSurfers. Message me if you're nearby!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love that there is a sense of community between people across the globe, a common bond of wanderlust and networking to make the world a more friendly and shared space. Kudos to the people that did this years ago, without the luxury of the interwebs.
Interests
The best way I can think to spend my time and money is traveling to a concert. I love alternative rock, indie, 90's grunge, stuff on the radio and obscure bands too. Always ready to hear new music.
I love to bake for friends and family at home. I can be artsy and crafty when I'm in the mood. I like to get out of the house everyday for a stroll around the neighborhood or to take a bike ride around town. I enjoy yoga and weight lifting, not so much cardio but I'm getting better at it! Sporting events are so fun for the camaraderie. Pretty much anytime there's chance of decent conversation, I'm up for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On my birthday in 2014, my friend and I spent all our money on drinks at a "Mexican" restaurant in Bangkok... when it came time for the bill, we realized we didn't have enough Thai Baht on us to cover the check. Yikes, I know.
We told our waitress that we'd get it to her, no doubt. So we gave her everything we had, took enough to get back to the hostel for more cash. Turns out that it wasn't enough for both of us to take the subway and transfer onto the bus. Let's just say, I ain't too proud to beg...in a deserted bus station, past midnight, in a completely disorienting city very far from home. It was so crazy and time consuming we didn't get to any other clubs or bars that night. We had to fly out early that next morning and we were exhausted. What a night, and looking back it's so ridiculous to think about the situations you get in when you're traveling. My friend and I will always laugh about it and I'll never forget my 24th birthday!
In case you were wondering, we did get that nice waitress the money later that night, plus a huge tip! :) Maybe that's not amazing to you, but the birthday girl had more than her fair share of Chang beers that night and it was a miracle that we made it to the airport early the next morning after everything. Good times!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll happily converse with anyone if they want to practice English, as my German is still so horrible and mostly hand gestures. I love to cook and bake for people. Eating is something we all have to do, let's enjoy the experience. I appreciate good beer and coffee and will share what I drink with friends!
