I'm from North Carolina, USA and I go to UNC Chapel Hill. I am currently on a gap year and doing a mix of volunteering and traveling. I couchsurfed once in Italy and had a wonderful experience, so I would love to couchsurf more. I have been traveling with some friends and staying in hostels for the last stretch of the year, but my friends have strongly recommended using Couchsurfing more because the ability to meet people living in each area rather than meeting other travelers. I lived with a Moroccan family for 2.5 months while volunteering in the southwest region of Morocco. I also WWOOFed in Japan for 3 months.
