Overview
About Me
I am a special education teacher taking a sabbatical to recharge after over 10 years in public education. I've been traveling more or less since November. I started out road-tripping and living in my car/camping all over the US and left my country in February.
I love being outside, dancing, hiking, biking, reading, songwriting, and creating in all forms. I would like to drink tea with you and talk for hours.
I’ve been to 44 US states, walked across several and biked across a few too :) I’ve lived in several places around SE Michigan, New Orleans, Oregon, and now my stuff lives in Ohio while I am traveling.
I’m not using couchsurfing to date or hook up! Please don’t host me with that intention.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect with people across the world and learn more about the places I travel. So far, it has been an amazing experience and I look forward to hosting once I have a place of my own again.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am almost always listening to or making music. I think sharing music is one of the greatest gifts we can give each other. I am traveling with a little red ukulele and love taking requests. Maybe I can learn your favorite song and we can sing together🥰
What I’ve been listening to lately:
Hurray for the Riff Raff, Tracy Chapman, Big Thief, boy genius, Andrew Bird, Thao, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabine McCalla, zero 7, handmade moments, Amy Winehouse, Ted Hawkins, Blaze Foley, Jenny Lewis, Gillian Welch, Grateful Dead
I like to read fiction, poetry, and nature related books, but I’ll branch out if you have a good recommendation.
My favorite authors lately: Barbara Kingsolver, Mary Oliver, Colson Whitehead, Louise Erdrich, Alice Munro, Toni Morrison, Madeline Miller, Annie Dillard, Ann Patchett, Alice Hoffman, and Aldo Leopold
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve seen and identified 603 different species of birds since 2020.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I play many instruments and love to sing. I’m good with children. I teach yoga and would happily share my practice with you. I’ve traveled the US extensively and can give advice on traveling there, especially where to find the beautiful nature and camp for free.
