About Me
Hey guys, I am small town girl from south west australia with a need for adventure. I have been travelling for two years straight now and loving it.
I was originally born is Glasgow Scotland and I migrated out to Australia when I was 9. This gave me itchy feet and a need to see the world.
I have currently been travelling since June 2017 with no plans to stop any time soon.
I love to see the world and truely experience what a country is like and what better way to do that than meet and see life from the perspective of a local.
I love to hike and go on outdoor adventures and I am an absolute history nerd so feel free to impart any local history or stories you have on me.
I am also a sports fan (soccer mostly) if anyone is ever up for a kick around I am there.
I come from a big family and I am use to being around a lot of people. I have no issues with personal space or sharing and i enjoy being in a very homely environment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing because I truely believe that the best way to really experience a culture or place is through the lives of the locals.
I also want to travel for as long as I can and everywhere I can and Couchsurfing just opens door to people and places that traditional forms of accomodation does not.
Interests
I have a wide variety of interest but being from Australia a lot of them revolve around sport. I love most sports and I love playing sports. At home I am a members of my local soccer club and I couch children in soccer from the ages of 7-18
I really enjoy history especially local history that is not commonly known to outsiders.
I also enjoy keeping up with current affairs generally politics from not only the countries I live in but around the world as well. I feel like it is important to stay involved and try and understand the state of the world
Food, I feel like a countries personality can actually be seen in their food. I love food, I would eat all day if I could.
I love hiking and camping and any outdoor activity you can think of. Being out in nature is fun and exciting. I love to be remote and feel like I am really on an outdoor adventure. It is also calming to get away from the cities. It is quite easy to get sucked into city hoping when you are travelling and I don’t want to miss out in the natural beauty different countries have to offer

Music, Movies, and Books
In regards to movies and books I am a sci fi nerd, anything joss Whedon touches is amazing. Although I am also a huge romantic and am a real sucker for classics such as Elisabeth Gaskell and Jane Austin (sigh cliche)
Musically I have a very varying taste, I will pretty much listen to anything. My go to is classic rock and country but being the little emo teenager I was in the 2000’s a love a good bit of emo/pop punk ( give me some my chem for sure)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In regards to travelling something I look back on with a serious sense of accomplishment was hiking the Grand Canyon, down to the Colorado river at the bottom and back in one day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn local history and stories from the people I stay with, in return I will impart all my knowledge of Australian and Scottish (especially Scottish) history on you if you are interested.
I want to learn the unique foods and traditions of a place also but mostly the food (I love food)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my travel experience with you, I have been travelling solo on and off since I was 17 and have accumulated many stories, mostly about me learning from doing something terribly wrong/ dangerous.
I can share insights to both Scottish and Australian culture and into the life of a immigrant.
