About Me

Hello! I have lived in Washington, D.C. for two years now, but have lived in many places in the US. I love reading, nail art, crafting, and of course, travel.

My latest trip was to Colombia this past May, and my next trip is to Cincinnati in July. Passenger said in best in his lyrics: "I fear I've grown a rolling stone inside of me."

I'm learning Spanish and a bit of Arabic. While I can't travel as much now, I'm hoping for a change in job soon that will open things up a bit. In the meantime, I'd love to get to know travelers in my area!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the moment, I'd really love to check out events in my area. I absolutely love that I live in a tourist-heavy city and should really participate more. I also plan on traveling using couchsurfing in my future travels and would love to host travelers someday when I am able.

Interests

As I said before I love keeping up with current events and politics. I also love all things nerdy including Doctor Who, Star Trek, and the wealth of comedy shows out there. I can be pretty crafty when I'm in the mood. I'm a big reader and usually prefer a night in to a crazy night out. But I do love having fun with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly stick to indie and alternative when it comes to music. I watch TV far more than I do movies but if I had to pick favorite movies, I would say the Ocean's movies and Love Actually. I just read the book "Innocents Abroad" and it was very good, I'd highly recommend it. I am currently reading "The Fix: How Nations Survive and Thrive in a World in Decline" by Jonathan Tepperman. I would also recommend "Pillars of the Earth" as it is one of my favorite books of all time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My junior year of college, I spent four weeks solo traveling through Italy. It was the most amazing experience of my life and truly set me free. If I could do that, what can't I do? I'd love to tell anyone about it who wants to know more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to work on my Spanish or talking international politics with anyone!
