About Me
Interests
I love exploring the outdoors as well as others' engaged minds. Not a fan of cold; very appreciative of warmth and sun. Love bodies of water, but especially rivers. Love checking out early architecture, basilicas, microbreweries, and parks when visiting places. If there is a big local music scene that's my desired night life. Love sampling local vegan fare and meeting locals in their stomping grounds, as well as fellow travelers!

Music, Movies, and Books
I've loved my journey with music and continue to rejoice as my palette expands! Genre that fits snuggest has proven to be of the indie/folk kind, but have grown intimate with others such as reggae, experimental, shoegaze, chillwave, world, bluegrass, afrobeat, even very select top-40 pop. Favorite soul-encompassing entities though are Sufjan Stevens, Fleet Foxes, Belle and Sebastian, Coheed and Cambria, Animal Collective, Iron & Wine, John Brown's Body, Modest Mouse, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad... As with other things in life, I stay open and will continue to check out eclectic styles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've lived in Aix-en-Provence, France for 5 months and then backpacked solo around Western Europe for a month. I did many weekend/long-weekend trips around Western Europe while still in Aix, as well. I fell in love with the French people and their culture and a part of me remains convinced that I am destined to join them in their lifestyles.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love the act of participating in sharing stories. I learned on my first trip away from my cultural home that there is no richer experience than experiencing life in the shoes of someone different, and the opportunities to do so are abundant, they are all around us. What I mean by that is inspiration, empowerment, knowledge, and lessons abound when you go outside your comfort zone. If done with an attitude of respect and an open mind, it can be enriching to the point of true self-actualization!
