COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I was driving to Chicago for my first CS experience, my mother insisted that my host was going to cut me to pieces with a chainsaw. Instead, he opened his doors, refrigerator, and heart to me and introduced me to amazing people, a wonderful community, and fire poi. I'm glad I didn't listen to her. (Coincidentally, five years later, he was my ticket-taker at my virgin Burn).

Music, Movies, and Books

Audio: A wide selection, but recently it has been String Cheese Incident, EOTO, STS9, Keller Williams, Beats Antique, Devil Makes Three, The Weakerthans, Little, Theresa Anderson, Allison Krauss, Bonobo, Talking Heads, and anything resembling the above.

Visual: (most)This changes, a lot. I have a huge crush on Audrey Tatou, so anything she's in. Anything that makes you think, but also occasionally things that you can be mentally dormant for.

Literary: I'm quite fond of children's books that have meaning (Le Petit Prince, The Giving Tree, The Missing Piece, etc.) But I'm in school right now so most of my reading is dedicated to classwork.
