Hey, i'm Katie, i;m a 24 year old Brit on my working holiday in Australia with my boyfriend of 4 years, Phil. I studied forensic science and anthropology and graduated in 2012, and i'm hoping to study medicine when I get home later this year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Australia is an expensive place! Sometimes hostels are so focused on getting backpackers to drink and spend money in their bars and spend the next day in bed nursing a headache rather than experiencing the amazing places the world has to offer! Plus couchsurfing gives us the chance to meet new people who know and love the area and may have the time to show us places that we wouldn't normally see.

Interests

I love music, going to gigs and i'm rarely without headphones in or looking through spotify to make playlists to suit where i'm travellingto next! I also love horror movies, animals, cooking, enjoying a beer or 3, meeting new people, travelling and taking photos along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music; I love indie and britpop music, however everyone I know says my music taste is very eclectic! Just a few of my favourites (old and current) are... Muse, Radiohead, Damien Rice, The Streets, Air, Zero 7, Tribes, Brandon Flowers, CHRVCHES, SAFIA, Kygo and Subfocus, to name but just a few!

Movies: horror all the way, be it classic hammer horrors, to modern slashers (the scream trilogy was the first horror I ever saw and will be a firm favourite forever!), to psychological movies. I also love thrillers and comedies.
