我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

If you stay in a hotel, you don't learn anything about the place you are staying. I believe that the most important characteristic of any place is it's people. Also, everyone should be able to travel.

Paul Simon is my favorite musician. Then there are just so many more that I love. I love Pulp, the Four Tops, old folk (Limeliters, The Kingston Trio, The Chad Mitchell trio), Frankie Valli, M. Ward, show tunes, etc. I really just love music.

My all time favorite movie is Grosse Point Blank.

I like historical fiction. I love the Flashman Series. I enjoy books that make me laugh and teach me something. Still, every now and then I reread "Nine Stories" or "The Heart is a Little To the Left".

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I don't know if I've ever done anything amazing, but I've done some pretty wonderful things. I went to India for a friend's wedding, and her brother showed me around Imphal from the back of his scooter. I learned to drive that same scooter in the parking lot of the Monkey Temple. I spent the best new years ever in Florence, when the streets were just filled with people and different concerts were at every block. I've hiked (and fallen) down a beautiful valley with a waterfalls in Israel and hiked to abandoned Syrian officer camps. I've driven through the eastern and central part of the US several times. I've met a policewoman who responded to Elvis's death, and will assert, the King is dead.
