In 2014, I moved to South America for about a year, where I taught English in Peru, and then traveled until I was out of money. When I came back to California I was really lucky to find a position at a wonderful nonprofit in San Francisco, but I decided I feel the happiest when I'm taking care of people, so I recently quit my full-time job, picked up a waitressing gig and am working towards a degree in nursing.
I have a lot of things to be grateful for in my life, and am a pretty cheerful person.
I'm not religious, but I'm spiritual, and I enjoy learning about others' views and beliefs.
I voted for Bernie in the primaries and Hillary in the presidential election.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling to Iceland in December for 2 weeks with my best friend, and would love to stay with/meet local(s) or/and other travelers

Favorite Movies/TV: Life is Beautiful, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Stranger Things, I like watching stand up comedy specials- Ali Wong's "Baby Cobra" and John Mulaney's specials are great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got drunk with a friend one night and said "I need to work out more" and she said, "Come play rugby with me." & I did, and I was awful at it, but it was so much fun and everyone was so nice, I stuck with it for a season of 7's and 15's, and still cheer them on.
