Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I cannot rest from travel, I will drink life to the lees....I am a part of all that I have met; yet every experience is an arch wherethrough gleams that untravelled world, whose margin fades forever and forever when I move
ABOUT ME
I love laughing, the sun, food, cooking, traveling, languages, learning, reading, friends, running, yoga, dancing, and finding things to be excited about. Among other things.
PHILOSOPHY
If it looks good, eat it. Literally and figuratively.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I'm not sure when I'll have a permanent couch, when I do I'm sure I will love hosting, and in the meantime I hope to meet awesome people in various other capacities!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted one surfer (during the brief span when I had a couch that was uniquely mine to offer), hung out with surfers in other places, and surfed in a couple different cities as well.
Interests
EVERYTHING. All it takes is someone really passionate and excited about something to get me interested in it. Here's what I'm not interested in: Olives. Traffic. Mean people. Cold. Addendum: Morocco made me like olives, so check that off the Dislike list.

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to like movies that make me feel happy (connoisseurs of cinema often look down on me), but I do enjoy a thoughtful movie in the right mood, especially those with elements of magical realism (example: Pan's Labyrinth). As for music I like...well, bits and pieces of just about everything. I love to read - some of my favorite books include Pride and Prejudice, Corelli's Mandolin (Louis de Bernieres), Me Talk Pretty One Day (David Sedaris), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams), Rebecca (Daphne du Maurier), Daughter of Fortune (Isabelle Allende), Jane Eyre, and various works of fantasy that I enjoyed as a 12-yr-old and still enjoy today, haha
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've watched the sun rise over an orangutan building her nest in Borneo, over the towers of Angkor Wat, and over the dunes of the Sahara. Those are pretty much the only times I have watched the sun rise. Hahaha
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a great cook, but I have a weird phobia of touching raw meat, so I only cook vegetarian. I have studied a little bit of many languages, including English, Spanish, Indonesian, Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, and Norwegian. I can say "I love you" in 14 languages and "thank you" in 9. I know a lot about animals and a LOT about plants. I am excited by the exchanging of interesting factoids.
