Hi world! I am an American student studying in Florence, Italy for the year with my younger brother. I'm focusing on getting a minor in Italian while he attempts for a minor in Art. We're both super excited about experiencing new foods and cultures and places!

I have many friends who have studied abroad and everyone says how awesome Couchsurfing is! I've been told of helpful hosts, great homes and good tips on how to get the best from the city they visited. Over all, I heard only good things :) in order to get the best experience I can, I hope to connect with locals who know and love the area they're in.

Food! I'm a vegetarian which sometimes bums people out. I like trying new foods but desserts are my weakness! In the few weeks that I've been in Italy, I've had gelato at least three times a week. If it has sugar, I'll eat it. I also enjoy blogging as me and my brother started a blog to catalog our adventures so our family can keep up. He takes the pictures; I write the words. We make a good team!

Music: All the kinds!! Minus country and screamo metal. Ugh.

This isn't even something I've done but something I have: four nephews. I didn't birth them or raise them or do a single thing but I love them so much!!!!!
