I am from south Louisiana, but currently living in Aachen, Germany while my husband, Aaron, is going to school here. Last year we lived in Ghent, Belgium for his first year of studies. This spring, he will graduate with his masters in Biomedical Engineering and we're not quite sure where we'll end up next. This is both nerve wracking and exciting - but mostly exciting. :)

I currently teach English online to students in Asia, which allows me to travel and move around freely. It's the best job and I try to take advantage of this freedom often. I am very interested in learning languages and passionate about teaching them, too.

I have a intermediate/conversational level of Spanish, but certainly have much to improve on. I studied Spanish in Valencia, Spain and then traveled around throughout Spain alone, in order to immerse myself in the language as much as possible. Me encantaaa el español.

Currently, I am studying German, but I have so far only completed up to A2, so I speak conversationally like a 3 year old. ;) aber ich lerne.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I've done couchsurfing in the past with my husband (at the time, boyfriend) and have only had wonderful experiences! My roommate back in Louisiana also hosted couchsurfers on our sofa and we had a great time hosting travelers as well. I love experiencing both sides of couchsurfing and I appreciate this community.

It's a great way to meet new people and for me, it's always felt like a more genuine way to experience a new city.
