About Me

ABOUT ME

Well, I'm a pretty outgoing, fun-loving kinda gal. I am originally from Ohio but am currently living and working in Denali National Park in Alaska. I've made some fabulous friends up here who have convinced me to join them in a 47 day trip through Europe and I couldn't be more excited! We'll be backpacking through about 23 different places and trying to experience as much as possible. I haven't done much international traveling so this is really going to be a life changing event. I can't wait to get started!

Interests

I am a chef here in the states and was trained in French Classical so you could say food is a pretty big passion of mine. I know for a fact that the food out there is going to blow me away. On the flip side of that, I do love to go out and be active, whether that's hiking or biking or jumping rope and being a goofball. I'm pretty laid back and if the people that surround me are excited about something, I'm usually right along for the ride.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have to say that being in Alaska this summer has truly been incredible. I started an obsession with coming out here to experience as much as I could about 3 years ago and I'm the sort of person who can talk a lot about something but never push the really big plans through. So for me to wake up every day and see this amazing scenery and know that I got myself here, with a little help from friends and family back home, is an insanely rewarding thing. I'm not accustomed to mountains just outside my window! The closet I've come to it was driving my best friend across the country to start her new life in San Francisco and that was a pretty incredible trip too. It's a good thing we love each other so dearly otherwise, being in her somewhat brokendown car for 13 hours a day would have been hell! But it's those kind of adventures I truly love. Good friends, crazy moments and a lot of laughs.
