ABOUT ME
I am a very open-minded and easygoing person who enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and trying new things. I graduated last year from the University of Illinois. I worked for a little over a year at an educational services company, but I am now taking some time off to travel and prepare for graduate school or teaching English abroad next year.
PHILOSOPHY
"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."
"If you never did you should. These things are fun and fun is good." Dr. Seuss

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Fairly new to couch surfing, so I don't have a lot of experience yet. The one "couch" I have surfed on was a great experience though, so I look forward to more.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some favorite movies: Up, Pride and Prejudice, Bourne movies, Crazy Stupid Love, Ocean's 11, and really anything that's not super scary as I get really scared!
Going through a Mumford and Sons music phase, but I like just about everything. Classical to alternative to oldies to top 40 to jazz - really anything goes. Opera can be a bit much though sometimes.
I have no self control when it comes to a good book. I can lose myself in it without thought of the real world. I tend to enjoy fiction more than non-fiction, but I really like when some random historical facts get thrown in. Recent favs: The DaVinci Code, The Help, House Rules, The Hunger Games, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Horseback riding on the coast in Ireland, hiking between the 5 villages of Cinque Terre Italy, laughing with 20 new friends at Oktoberfest, watching the sunset from my own piece of beach in Michigan, attending a church service in Westminster Abbey, cooking insanely fresh crab from Bodega Bay CA, dancing on top of the largest wine barrel ever in Heidelberg, snorkeling in the Gulf of Mexico, riding the Autoverlad through the Swiss Alps, listening to street musicians in New Orleans, zip-lining in Coasta Rica, relaxing on Lake Tahoe, singing on stage at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, sitting atop a sand dune in Great Sand Dune National Park CO, making Kimchi with my Korean elementary school...
How do you pick just one? Travel? I've traveled.
