ABOUT ME

I aim to live a meaningful existence. I try to live out what I believe in. I ache for simplicity and my eyes are always open to see the beauty in everything. I try to respect the earth and honor her in my daily choices.
Sometimes I take life to seriously.
Often I fight for balance.
Always I have a million things to be thankful for at the end of the day.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in love.
My faith is my standing ground, although I think religion is corrupt and often an ugly thing.
I like that Jesus told the religious Pharisees that if they simply love God and love people than that is enough.
I try to do this.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe in humanity. I believe in diversity. I believe in unity. I travel constantly, my husband and I live in a school bus that runs off waste vegetable oil. We have no running water and just a few solar panels for power but the view outside our many windows is always changing and we're constantly inspired.
If we are in the same place at the same time we have a couch in our bus that folds down to a bed and we'd be happy to share a meal with you.

I like books that teach me something about life; books that feed my mind or imagination.
I love music that makes me want to dance, puts me to sleep, the flute, the sounds of nature, folk music, music I grew up on, and anything that inspires me.

I can tell of beauty I've seen or things I've done, but I'm amazed most by the simple beauty that lies within each day. The rising of the sun, the singing of the birds, the way wild flowers overtake the forest in spring and mostly the human heart that so often brings life to me.
