About Me

I'm a teacher working at an international school here in Budapest. I love travelling and learning new languages.
Please read my profile before you message me!!

IMPORTANT INFO
-I live in Óbuda, on the Buda side of the city, about 2km North of Margit Bridge.
-Please don't add me as a friend unless we have met, I will just decline.
-Please be realistic about what you expect from me. I am not a free tour guide service who can take you to all the sights! Sometimes I'm free to visit a view point or other place of interest with my guests but don't message me asking for a 2 day tour, that's just not something I'm available for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to host or help travellers in the area. I really like the philosophy of Couchsurfing. I'm also keen to meet other local Couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used to host surfers sometimes in my house in Birmingham, UK and showed them around the area when I was free. I also hosted now and again when I was living in Thailand.

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to start...
I love films. Best film ever is E.T. Or maybe the Little Mermaid. I love comic books films and high action stuff with plenty of explosions. I also watch gangster films and anything by Almodovar or Tarantino.

I love most music but I'm really into world music- Latin American, West African blues and reggae. Of course I couldn't avoid getting in to Azonto when living in Malawi which seems to be aiming for world domination. I try to get to a big festival every year so I like the regular 'guitar bands' kind of line ups too.

I'm a big reader. I love Irvine Welsh, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and too many more to mention. Any kind of dystopian future book is guaranteed to interest me although I've recently fallen in love with Gone With the Wind and Sherlock Holmes, which was unexpected.
