Overview
About Me
Hello, I'm Katie! I'm from the States, but I live in Amsterdam, and I've been couchsurfing for over a decade now (my old profile was pretty full, but removed due to a name mixup, hence my friends-to-references ratio!). It's lovely to meet you all! I'm happy to partake in the spirit of couchsurfing whenever I can, whether it be through hosting or surfing.
I do video game animation, and often spend most of my time on my computer in the very spacious living room. I'm a pretty laid-back host, but that doesn't mean there are no rules to staying with me. Check the "My Home" section for more info. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It'd be hard to name one, but there are a couple that come to mind:
-Bathed and played with elephants in Thailand. They're such gentle giants!
-Had a ton of small fish swim around me as if I were a coral reef.
-Met people from all over the world, many with vastly different viewpoints from my own.
-Danced with strangers, stayed up all night with friends, gone on spontaneous trips to new countries with little notice~
-Lived and breathed my hobbies and interests, at times even getting wondrously lost in them for weeks at a time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy learning about languages, and I'm also pretty good at pixel art, animation, and game design, and can do a fair bit of programming, too. If we get to talking, I'd love to learn what makes you passionate, the experiences that make you want to stay up all night, and the things that have you worrying in the morning on an idle weekday.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My sprightly energy and my positive yet meditative outlook on life. But share your philosophies with me, too! I'd so love to hear them. :D
