ABOUT ME

I've lived in Southern California my entire life. Isn't that just awful? The farthest I have been is mid-USA. Seriously. Dreadful. However, I'm graduating college at the end of the year, so I'm all set and ready to travel and move on to new places. I'm 21, and I'd really like to try anything that might help me better understand myself and the people around me (which is pretty much anything). Oh, and I'm a vegetarian.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm pretty new to this whole thing, though I have had a few friends-of-friends on CS stay in my living room. My apartment is tiny, so I can't provide much there (not to mention, who even wants to come to Orange County anyway? Ugh!). But, my lease is up in February and I plan on moving. We'll see where that takes me. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies (Wings of Desire, Heima, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Reprise, Burn After Reading, anything by Kubrick, Lynch, or Von Trier, etc) Music (Ranges from everything to anything, like New Order, Depeche Mode, Sigur Ros, Bowie, whatever) and Books (Poppy Z. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I remember once when Sigur Ros was playing at the Greek Theatre in LA (which is an outdoor theatre on the side of a mountain). My date and I left early and climbed the mountain to the Griffith Observatory (favorite LA spot), and were able to look out to the whole city of LA and its glowing lights, with Sigur Ros playing in the background. So so so amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn languages! I can teach English or a little Spanish. I don't have many teachable skills.. I can teach you how to cut your own hair, or play with silly vintage cameras or to live without eating meat! But I'd like to learn to not be afraid of heights and to swallow pills.
