ABOUT ME

ALL about me isn't going to fit into this little box. But what you might like to know up front is that I am not a serial killer, rapist, nor will I stand over you in your sleep in a clown suit. I would prefer you to have those same values. I like to have fun and I'm up for most adventures. I love new experiences, especially if food is involved.

I prefer the sea but I'm currently landlocked so I must get away as much as possible. That said, I have a pretty flexible schedule and as long as I'm in town, would be willing to show you around town to the fun locals places or the touristy places if that's more your style.

I have a dog that loves people but pretty much doesn't love furry competition so sadly I cannot host pets.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life with no regrets, it's all a learning experience. Dance in the rain. Don't avoid the storms, embrace them. There is beauty there too. Life is in the details, the small things. Be thankful every day for these small beauties brought just for you and you will live a happy existence.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet new people and I both surf and host. However, I do not participate in providing shelter for homeless people or people who plan to "stay" for months at a time. That becomes a rental agreement. I see this as an opportunity to meet fellow travelers, not take on boarders.

My home is a clean living environment and is not open to any smoking, drugs, or using it as a crash pad after partying all night. I have not actually had these issues but I have had some really odd requests so I thought I would throw this out there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had THE MOST AMAZING experiences couchsurfing and hosting. I have met new people I now consider friends and can't wait to see and spent time with again. <3

Intereses

Well this could get long so I'll put a few vague answers and the cliff's notes version: travel (of course), reading, playing outside (especially if it's on the playground!), eating great food, the beach, sky diving, scuba, white water rafting, hiking, creating stuff, meeting new people, cultural experiences, life, living.

Movies: Boondock Saints, Indiana Jones (I always wanted to be him when I grew up), RomCom Chik Flix (not the sappy crying ones, ugh), Pixar (um, hello?! who doesn't LOVE minions?!).

Music: Primus, MxPx, Pepper, All American Rejects, Norah Jones, Bare Naked Ladies, Aqua (yeah I went there), Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye, this list is infinite…

Books: Also an infinite list but here's a few: Confederacy of Dunces, stupid thoughtless RomCom chik lit, Brit Lit, Russian lit, Clive Cussler (also wanted to be one of his characters growing up), I detest LOTR due to Gollum so I cannot watch the movies or read the books ever again-pretty sure he traumatized me as a kid, Moby Dick (it's actually a great read if you don't have to dissect it for class), Jane Austen, Bronte sisters, Sylvia Plath, Carl Hiaasen, To Kill a Mockingbird is probably my all time favorite book.

Algo increíble que he hecho

When I was in Antarctica we were told that the wild life, especially the penguins, are very wary of humans and will not get very close but to stay very still around them because they cannot see on land and we will scare them. While I was sitting very still on a rock watching these cool creatures, one walked right up to me and got within two feet! Not only did I get to experience this amazing interaction, but a friend of mine caught it on camera so I have this beautiful memory captured on film!

I cannot cook food that you would be able to eat, but I can make soap (and not in a creepy Tyler Durden kinda way, ew). I know a little bit about a lot of stuff but not a lot about much of anything. I am a life student and am always trying to broaden my horizons. What's your talent? I'm great at sparkling.
