Overview
About Me
Not too much to know about me really. I'm a talkative, enthusiastic, open-minded young woman, though that description sounds like it should go on a resume... Anyway, traveling as become such a huge part of my life at this point that I can't imagine what kind of person I would be without those experiences. I prefer connecting with people on a one on one basis or in small group contexts but can enjoy large groups as well. As much as I love being around people, I do need time off of my own to process things so that would probably make me an introvert.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be spending a year in Gernsheim Germany teaching English with the Fulbright and would love to connect with anyone and everyone I can in my time there. Traveling is a must and being able to share experiences and stories with others is a vital part of that.
Although I currently don't have a place to live in Gernsheim (where I will be working) I want to be able to host eventually, even after I return to the US after my year in Germany.
Interests
I love learning languages, chilling in coffee shops, picking up instruments, working out, writing creatively, cooking and baking, photography and just doing life. I may not be good at all of these things but it's the effort that counts, right? As I studied evangelical theology in university, I love learning about other religions, philosophies and belief systems.
I'd love to go to more festivals when I'm in Europe, I went to a music one in Strasbourg France last year for a weekend and it was spectacular!

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music is all across the board and depends on my mood and what I am doing at the time that I am listening. Chill folksy music is great for the times when I just have to pull back and disengage from life for a bit, alternative rock or pop punk come into play when I have a lot of energy or need to vent, and so on and so forth.
For books, I'm also just as open though I love anything well written. I'm currently trying to catch up on a lot of reading that I've had to put off in my last semester at university. I love the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling as it was such an integral part of my childhood and I'm working through reading that in German so as to branch out in what I can read in a foreign language.
Movies, oh my goodness, hard question. My favorite movie probably changes every few weeks or so but I'm a big fan of the Marvel movies, also on the top of the list would be The Prestige, Big Hero 6 (who doesn't love a good Disney movie?), and Princess Bride.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm, I've gotten lost in Vienna Austria for a night and had the best time of my life with friends as we tried to navigate the subway lines and street cars. I've also ridden a gondola in Venice, as toursity as that is.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Well, challenging question there, the obvious answer would be that I can teach English to anyone wanting to learn, otherwise I'm mostly self-taught in the things that I can do. Still, I'd love to blundering through cooking, baking, and playing guitar with someone else.
Learn: Anything and everything someone else may want to teach me, I'm young and want to have a ton of different experiences as I travel. Specifically, I'd love to learn more about yoga, rock climbing, hiking,
