ABOUT ME

My life revolves around creativity, my friends, music, adventuring in far away lands and being a bit of a doofus. I love intellectualism, as long as it's paired with a touch of goofiness.
Sitting down with a glass of red wine, tasty food and a great discussion sounds like heaven. So does dancing on the beach to good music with great people in the sunshine! Or perhaps getting up to a bit of tomfoolery too. I'm pretty easy to please that way.

I believe in the good in people, and this network has really inspired me that there are people out there willing to share themselves and their homes with others. I am really into finding the real local culture in the places I go to, so this is a perfect tool in discovering this as well as making new friends which is always a bonus!

兴趣

I love visiting museums and galleries, I find myself constantly stunned and amused by the minds of others both past and present. I'm amazed by science and discovery just as much as I am art - if you put them both together, I'm in heaven!!
Food. Lots of food. I believe that you can tell so much about a place by their food - it brings us all onto the same visceral level, and I really think that it is one of the best ways to experience a culture.

yes please.
funk, blues, soul, jazz, pretty much anything you throw at me. I have a special place in my heart reserved for old stuff - led zeppelin, bob dylan, the beatles, the temptations, otis redding... i could go on forever!
I studies film for a while, and I think I overloaded, so I haven't watch a lot of films in recent times. I have a soft spot for art films - Stan Brackhage, Len Lye and Maya Deren come to mind. Otherwise, good popular film by eg. The Cohen Bros. WES ANDERSON etc.
as for books, anything by jack kerouak, tom robbins, hunter s. thompson, tim flannery, douglas adams, ethnographic essays and national geographic magazine.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I did community service in a Bedouin town for a few weeks when I was living in Israel, and one family invited me to their wedding. It was incredible, a completely different experience. Shooting guns in the air for joy, they had a mini fireworks show, singing and dancing all night long. And dont get me started on the food... mmmmmm

I am a qualified ESL teacher, and although out of practice in the teaching part, I'm more than happy to help out with improving your English.
I have started learning the ukulele, so I could teach you a song or two - it's SO easy!
I really want to learn the piano, and one of my ultimate pleasures in life is accapella harmonising. So if you can sing, let me sing with you!
