About Me

I'm a recent college graduate from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I'm originally from New Jersey, about an hour outside of NYC. My family and friends mean everything to me, and I believe that laughing, doing good for the world, giving love and being loved in return are the best parts of life. I have a passion for music and the environment.

I'm headed to Iceland with a one-way ticket and my two best friends (Neah Baechler and Lauren Vogel) starting in March 2016! Our plan is to backpack our way through Europe and then to India and Southeast Asia. We figure that this trip will take around a year, but we're also keeping it open-ended and our minds open to whatever may change along the way. We like to "play it by ear" and value the quality of our experiences rather than the quantity of places we can check off our list.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and hearing about their passions and experiences, as well as sharing my own. I always find that I learn and grow more from interacting with others than any other form of education. I also love that couchsurfing provides a sense of community among people all over the world!

Interests

Conversing with friends and strangers (who are just friends you haven't met yet!), laughing and joking, yoga, gardening, going to the beach, on the boat, floating down the river, or anything that involves water, music, travel, hiking, camping, mountains, nature & protecting the environment, living sustainably, feminism, social justice and activism, drinking craft beers and red wine, cooking and eating delicious fresh food, cozying up with a cup of coffee or tea, experiencing other cultures, reading, watching movies and Game of Thrones, loving all living things and living an adventurous and worthwhile life!
