I currently live with a family who has graciously allowed me to stay with them while i'm in nursing school, so unfortunately I cannot host people at their house.

ABOUT ME

laid back, go with the flow, adventurous, sarcastic/witty, (politely) blunt, I've been told once I had a few or more drinks I am incredibly hilarious, i'm sure it's true hah.

I am from a very small town in Missouri, I was born and raised there and then attended college at the University of Missouri (MIZ) for 3 years until I transferred to a liberal arts school for my senior year. I graduated from Westminster College in 2013 with a Health & Nutrition Major and minored in public health. After college, I worked at a sports camp and was a boat driver there for the entire summer. I must say, I got a pretty great chaco tan line with that job. Then, 2 weeks after I got home from working at camp, I spontaneously decided to move to DC. So I did. I moved in with a girl there, whom I had known, and ended up living there for a year and a half. Probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. DC is home to me, and I miss it dearly. So much to do! I didn't take one day there for granted :)

In January, I moved back to Missouri, St. Louis this time, to attend one of the top nursing schools in the country. I graduate in August of 2016! My overall goal is to become a traveling nurse and eventually work my way overseas.

I've always been independent, traveling alone does not bother me, and taking huge leaps into the unknown is exhilarating to me. Experiencing new cultures and soaking up my surrounds is what I live for.

Fun facts- my mother's entire side of the family lives in Missouri.
My father's side of the family is spread out amongst Honolulu, Bangkok, and Sao Paulo. I'm hoping I can venture over to Brazil for the olympics next year, as my cousin will be running the women's 1500.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel is my PASSION and since i'm a student again, I want to travel frugally and meet new friends and experience new places.

Interests

My aunt used to be a professional baker so i've learned some tricks of the trade from her. I make a mean buttercream.

I love sports. I played tennis my senior year of college, I am obsessed with Mizzou Football, Royals & chiefs fan, Caps hockey fan, and wizards basketball!

I Rode a camel around the Sphinx/ Pyramids when I was 18.
