ABOUT ME

I'm 21 years old and a student at the University of Manchester in the UK, studying Spanish and French. I come from Liverpool originally.

As I study French and Spanish at university, I have just finished my year abroad. I lived in Nice, France for the first half of this year where I completed an internship in Real Estate. I then lived and worked in Santa Marta, on the Caribbean coast of Colombia where I volunteered in a foundation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make friends and find like minded people from all over the world. And also hopefully to find people to practise my Spanish and French with :)

Interests

I love nature and being outside. Nature is just priceless to me - it's amazing that you can experience it anywhere, completely for free, and often I enjoy that more than doing expensive activities.

Some of my other interests are: art, photography, meditation, politics, independent coffee shops, collecting vinyl records, music festivals.

I wouldn't consider myself a sporty person, but I do love running and hiking.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

I'm a bit of a house and techno fanatic, and electronic music in general. I love raving and festivals. I have too many favourite djs and producers to name but my favourite is probably Jeff Mills.

MOVIES

I love indie and cult movies. Some of my favourite films are: Amélie and other Jeunet movies, Requiem for a Dream, Amores Perros, Fight Club. I also love some light hearted comedies from time to time!

BOOKS

I should really read more often, it's something that I need to get back into. I actually prefer poetry over novels, with my favourite poet being Pablo Neruda. I also love the Brontës' poetry, and Wuthering Heights is my favourite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completed the trek to the Lost City (Ciudad Perdida) in Colombia. I also visited the northernmost point of South America, Punta Gallinas.
