ABOUT ME
www.katiemustard.com - personal website
I am freelancer in every sense of the word; in my work (production) in my leisure (travel) and in my non-permanent residence (new york city and LA). I'm extremely independent and driven. I work very hard but always try to lead a well-balanced life. I seek adventures constantly . I never watch tv, but i could watch 6 movies a day. I don't stand for people who just "get-by" or people that "watch things happen." I'm definitely a "do-er" I plan to be successful in my life and to cultivate interest in as much as i can possibly can.
PHILOSOPHY
Live all the days of your life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
hmmm..this is difficult to answer.. I could say it was kayakying in Patagonia, climbing glaciers in new zealand, sleeping on park benches in amsterdam, illegal scuba diving in Cuba, smoking hookhas in Israel, whirling with dervishes in Turkey, dancing the tango in Argentina, riding a camel across the desert in India, working a cattle ranch in the Outback of Australia, bicycling through the Czech Republic alone, full moon bungee jumping in Switzerland, surviving food poisoning in Morocco, learning the art of wine tasting in Italy, racing an ostrich in South Africa, exploring the central highlands of Vietnam on a motorbike, or arriving at Machu Pichu at dawn...
those are all amazing moments, But sometimes, the most remarkable moments of my life are those closest to home.. like surprising my mom for her 60th birthday, booking a job that changes my career, or falling in love.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm 30 years old and I've traveled to 42 countries so far.. almost all of them, i've traveled alone as a young white female from a lower class mid western family. As Emerson once wrote, Traveling is like an apprenticeship on life. Any one can see the world and I love to encourage other females to follow their heart anywhere it takes them. I'm always happy to share in travel stories, to share in the ways i've captured my travels in my photography and what i have done with my travel experiences back home as a filmmaker in NYC and LA.
