About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience everything the world and its inhabitants have to offer!
ABOUT ME
"I think everybody should like everybody" - Andy Warhol
I've been a registered nurse in MANY different areas for the last three years. I also have a degree in kinesiology (study of the functioning of the human body) but haven't put that to much use other than in my own fitness. I am pretty laid back and up for most things. My parents instilled a love of travelling in me and I am happy I have been given so many opportunities to do it!
PHILOSOPHY
"Take chances and never have regrets, because at one point, everything you did was exactly what you wanted."
I always try to seize opportunities that present themselves and make the most out of everything. I've been told numerous times that you always regret the things you don't do, so I do everything I can.
"Give a little love and it all comes back to you"
-Bugsy Malone
True story. Be nice to people and they will be nice to you; karma will take care of the rest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm up for hosting, grabbing coffee, showing people around, but unfortunately will be unable to do any of those things come the end of May. I'll be away for the summer doing my own travelling and am excited I get to take off again :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My sister used to host people at our parent's place which was always a blast. I've done some surfing with my brother in Australia as well as my best friend and sister in Europe. We've met awesome people and I'm always so surprised at how generous and kind everyone is. Looking to meet some more amazing individuals on my continued travels and finally be able to host once I'm settled into an appropriate place!
Interests
I love any form of fitness (Crossfit, hiking, yoga, biking etc. etc.) and am in the gym at least 5 days a week... unless I'm travelling, where I do what I can to keep fit. I'm an athlete (soccer, volleyball, snowboarding) and like almost all sports. I really enjoy music and have a pretty ecclectic taste. I love to read and will try anything that comes highly recommended. I love to play games... call me childish but board games, card games, and anything else that I can play, I am up for! I think food is one of the great joys in life so I love both cooking and eating it!

Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely love to read. Any good/suggested book I will try. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who feels the need to finish a book once it's started regardless of whether or not I'm enjoying it, so make sure you have some excellent suggestions in mind!
I love music... period. Although I enjoy some genres more than others, I am open to anything!
I am also open to most types of movies... however I HATE horror movies as they absolutely terrify me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
SO hard to choose... either hiking the Inca Trail to see Machu Picchu, scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef or bungee jumping in New Zealand.
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I know enough about to teach others are few but I will do what I can! Fitness is a passion of mine, and I love to share it with others, which I frequently do and am willing to do over and over! I am also lucky to have a mother who is the most amazing cook (I am sure most people say that about their mothers... but everyone says that about mine so I am not just biased!). I'd like to think I've inherited some of her talents and enjoy sharing the food I make with others.
Because I enjoy food/cooking I am always looking to expand on my knowledge and skills in the kitchen. Teach me something awesome to cook and I'll be your friend forever.
I snowboard and wakeboard and learned to surf in Bali/Halifax (albeit, not well).
