Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
to visit as many places my friends have never heard of as possible
ABOUT ME
When I was in second grade, my family took the year off and traveled around the world. I got hooked on the travel thing and started traveling independently when I was fourteen. When it came time to "be normal" and go to university, I decided to put that on hold for a year and head out to see what the world had to offer- so far, so good! Since August I've been in Poland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Israel, Palestine, Thailand, Vietnam, and Egypt. I've never got any idea where I'm headed next, which customs officials always love...
PHILOSOPHY
When you're home-less, everywhere is home :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to couchsurfing, but when I start university in New York City next year I plan on having a constant stream of temporary traveler roommates
Interessen
I like sitting at cafes for extremely long periods of time (nine hours is my current record), sleeping in random places with new friends from around the world, wandering around mountains and cities and beaches all day, long-distance bus rides, playing with 4-year-olds (and pretending to be one myself), sneaking into expensive hotel's pools, eating Uzbek honey, listening to new music, hearing about peoples' lives, drinking cheap wine/cava/vodka/Starbucks, and getting sucked into a book that keeps me awake half the night.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I like getting book, movie, and music recommendations from people I meet. Generally, I lean towards the happy music, movies, and books.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I spent a month living on an open rooftop (as in solar panels and construction materials for "furniture" and a fire escape ladder as the entryway) in Tel Aviv- by far the best place I have lived, seeing the sun rise over the city and set over the Mediterranean.
I also spent a month building schools in rural Kenya with just the clothes on my back (Air Canada does not deliver lost luggage to nameless villages 9 hours outside of Nairobi) and loved being so free (and dirty)!
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I'd be happy to practice/learn/teach any language with anybody! I can help out a bit in English (though after several months on the road forgetting to speak properly, people tell me I sound more Serbian than American), Spanish, Hebrew, German, and a very few words of Uzbek and French. I can say "cheers!" in about a dozen languages! I want to learn how to ride a motorcycle, skateboard, speak Arabic and better German, dance in styles from different cultures, and cook awesome food (not just eat it).
