Hi, I'm Katie! I am 26 years old and come from the US. My passions in life are yoga, travel, and education. In fact, I believe travel is the best form of education! I love exploring new places and opening my eyes to different cultures and ways of life. I also love learning languages, and since I am currently traveling in South America I am learning Spanish. Currently I am pursuing my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ecuador and after completing that I will be traveling on throughout South America. I hope to meet up with as many people as possible and make great connections!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was a university student in Berlin my roommates and I used Couchsurfing to host many people in our apartment. It was such a great way to meet new people that you would never otherwise come into contact with! Now that I am traveling myself I hope to use Couchsurfing to meet locals who will be able to show me a side of my travel destinations that a tourist would normally not see!

Music, Movies, and Books

I will listen to any type of music! I don't believe in discriminating against a whole genre of music, if I like a song I will listen to it and enjoy it. I love listening to music in other languages, especially German and Spanish. A few of my favorite artists are Bruce Springsteen, Frank Turner, Clueso, Haim, Los Amigos Invisibles, Hozier, 2NE1, George Ezra, Lorde, Trevor Hall, Taylor Swift, and many others! I love to watch movies and read, but I can't say I really have any favorite ones.
