About Me

I'm an Aussie Canadian recently moved to Toronto after always residing in Australia who's currently learning what the true meaning of winter is (there are temperatures BELOW 15C??!)

I left behind my four housemates who are basically my family to discover a world beyond beaches, barbecues and beers. Wait, why did I leave? Oh riiiiiight, no snow!!

My philosophy is: Exist or Live.

From the moment I first saw that saying it stuck with me. You've been lucky enough to be put on this planet. You can plainly exist, cruising through life until you reach the end OR you can take this fantastic opportunity you've been given and LIVE your life as fully as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling abroad. I took my very first trip at 17 and have been hooked ever since. Travelling brings experiences that you could never have predicted and that you'll remember forever.

I also love meeting people around the world. Having grown up in Australia (that far away country 'down under' that you want to visit one day but it's too expensive to get there!), I've been limited in the cultural diversity available. I get that when I travel - I enjoy comparing differences and similarities and learning from so many awesome people.

But why specifically Couchsurfing? When you travel you see the city you're in but can sometimes miss out on the culture. Hostels are a great way to meet other travellers, but to really get the full experience from a place you have to meet some locals. They know how it is beyond the tourist attractions. But more than that, it's just nice to stay at a fellow travel-lover's place.

Interests

This is easy: travel, photography and engineering. I love all of these things and do/learn them as much as I can. I also love my friends. I live with four very awesome mates who ensure that life is never boring.
