About Me
Moi!
I am a physics student and I've also studied computer science in Wuhan, China. I lived in a bubble and I wanted to burst it - that's why I went to China. Currently I live in Sweden and do my PhD studies. Unfortunately I cannot host anyone but I am always willing to meet new people both in Sweden and in Denmark!
I consider myself as a "typical Finn": I'm not good at small talk, but I love to listen. I think that 80 degrees in a sauna is cold while 20 degrees is too hot outdoors. And yes, I am a shy introvert who looks at her own shoes instead of yours when talking to you.
However, I always like to meet new people and chat with them! It is really interesting to hear about different backgrounds.
My biggest dreams are to have a happy family (oh, surprise!), to travel more around the world, to research on cosmic rays and particle physics, and to beat my boyfriend in mahjong.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was an exchange student in China, and as always, I met really amazing people from all around the world. Now I want to meet new people, too! It is always interesting and nice to hear how different experiences and backgrounds people have.
I met people who do couchsurfing, and that encouraged me to join the group. Unfortunately, I can't accommodate people here, but my couch is free in Finland!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived happily in Finland and had everything in order: my apartment was awesome, I had a view of the sea on the uppermost floor and my own sauna...
and then I moved to China, without knowing any Chinese, and my bubble popped. I learnt that there is something else than just quiet Finnish people with higher education in the world, and that the adventure is always nicer than sitting alone at home reading the news from Facebook.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you come to visit me, I can teach you how to bake the best pulla in the world (well, it's not good as my mom and grandma bake, but still really delicious!)
I can also teach you to speak fluent Finnish with very important and useful "tongue twisters" such as "ääliö älä lyö, ööliä läikkyy" and of course "hölökyn kölökyn" (which means cheers!)
Countries I’ve Visited
