ABOUT ME
I love to travel, socialize and learn new things. I'm a doctor working with infectious diseases, hopefully going abroad to work within the near future. I'm away a lot but if you send a nice request I might be able to host you! But if you are using CS as a dating site I am NOT interested, there's plenty of other apps for that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love couchsurfing and everything that it stands for! I've mostly used couchsurfing as a means to meet people when I've been in a new city, which has worked really well. I haven't hosted much yet but I'm looking forward to changing this and start receiving some more CSers in Malmö!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So many, so good.
Interests
Meeting new people, seeing new places and learning new things. My favorite ways of achieving this are travelling, socializing, outdoor activities like hiking or kayaking, reading, getting involved in organisations I find interesting, watching good movies, etc. I also do krav maga and boxing which is super fun. Recently took up climbing, very fun but pretty tricky.

Music, Movies, and Books
Yes, books please, any genre, always. Especially when sitting in a café in some far off (or not so far off) town, sipping a cappuccino and being in no rush to be anywhere or do anything in particular. Also at the poolside, whilst having an ice-cold beer and getting much more sunburnt than intended.
I tend to reach for classics when I get to choose freely, but generally I'm open to all tips and recommendations. One thing I really love is to read good books by native authors when in a new country, like reading "Midnight's Children" in India or "My Invented Country" by Isabel Allende in Chile (two books which both tell the story of a country in a simple, personal and overwhelmingly beautiful way - definite reading tip!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll go with the experience of helping in delivering a baby. Absolutely amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Um. Tricky one.
Well, I'll talk about global health and infectious diseases with anyone who's interested, especially the biggies HIV, TB, maternal health, neonatal health, among others. I can't begin to describe how strongly I feel for everyone's right to high-quality, affordable (preferably free) healthcare, no matter who you are or where you've had the fortune/misfortune to have been born.
I guess I could share some basic krav maga moves if anyone is interested in that.
Apart from that... Swedish maybe? Anybody?
...No?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a decent cook, in my own opinion (vegetarian food). I can also show you some good pubs and bars in Malmö or take you to boxing or climbing, possibly hiking or kayaking if I have a lot of free time (which I usually don't, sorry in advance).
