ABOUT ME

We dont like being separated - thats the main reason for our name, which is a mix of Katya and Jon, Grebenshchikova and Waernelius. We resently joined couchsurfing because we want to try it together! I, Jon, have tried it many times by hosting and being hosted, see more under CS Experience or Friends :)
We share our apartment with 65 plant inhabitants. Plus about 30 at our balcony during summer.

PHILOSOPHY

We want to enjoy life, which means love, happiness, deepness, creativity, and not to let the rest of the world suffer from our actions.

For now, looking for hosts in berlin ;) Later on we want to be hosts too! And we would like to add that we see ourselves as serious surfers, we truly believe couchsurfing makes the world a richer, better place...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I, Jon, part one or two of Katjon, have been a member of couchsurfing since 2008, you can see my profile by searching my username BOBJON, or look under Friends. I believe couchsurfing is one of the best things human race has ever invented. Cant really imagine anything better right now actually. Music maybe, if you can call it a human invention?

Interests

Saving the world! From mankind. Atleast the rich part of mankind. Ourselves for example. Because we are destroying it. Katya works for Greenpeace and I try to make art which shows my vision of the world. I sculpture and paint, Katya is a great photographer with a great vision which she also wants to share with others. But - we are ofcourse(!) also interested in other peoples visions, how they see the world. And we enjoy learning, experiencing, food (vegetarian), maté (if u dont know what this is we'll show you when we meet!), meditation, good movies, books, music and adventure (like visiting Berlin), see new places, meet people, culture and so ooon. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

We like many different kinds of music! And books! And movies! You should enjoy them, both good and bad, as long as its giving you a better life. And what you need differs all the time. Something light to shut yourself off a bit when needed, something heavy to get input, something in between, to, hm ok we think you understand :) We appreciate ALL, if not too bad, in a wrong way ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nature. Cities are interesting as contrast, but only feels alive when filled with artistic expressions.

Dont only look for couch. We are only interested in hosting people who are interested in meetings between people.
